About the Area

Brisbane is quickly becoming a fast paced city with many Australians discovering what a great place it is to live and wandering the city streets it's not hard to see why.

Brisbane is a mix of the old and the new with beautiful sandstone buildings sitting next to architecturally designed skyscrapers and in between it all snakes the Brisbane River where many daring water sports are offered.

If you prefer dry land why not climb the Story Bridge, one of only three bridge climbs in the world, and take in the spectacular 360 degree views across Brisbane city and surrounds.

Not all high adrenalin activities, Brisbane also offers great shopping with kilometre long Queen St Mall lined with shops and department stores or for something a bit more alternative visit Fortitude Valley.

Known to the locals as, 'the Valley', this eclectic suburb, just minutes from the CBD features edgy clothing stores and boutiques as well as quaint cafes and bistros.

Evenings also come alive here with the Valley being the 'it' spot for clubbing and is known as the nightlife hub of Brisbane. Along Brunswick, James and Ann Street clubbers are spoilt for choice with a great number of bars and clubs open till the wee hours of the morning.

Brisbane also acts as a gateway to other popular Queensland destinations with the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay and the hinterland all just an hour away in each direction.
